Our Lovable "Larry the Musical Crab" Logo Page
This page is dedicated to Larry the Musical Crab logo that we
have retired.
Here are some of the interesting history about Larry.
- This logo was among the very first graphic that
was designed and written by our station owner, Tim Conner, back in the early
1990s while learning graphic arts and how to build Internet web pages.
- The original logo was for a production company located
in Maryland. However, when the company folded a couple of years later, they
decided to give back the logo and the copyrights to Tim.
- In 2004, Tim decided to get into the business of
Internet radio and wanted something that he can use for WinniRadio. Thus,
Larry the Musical Crab was brought out of retirement and became the station's
logo. A few minor changes to the original logo were made including the
addition of WinniRadio's "Best Oldies of the Rock 'n' Roll Era" slogan.
- In 2007, WinniRadio decided to retire "Larry the Musical
Crab" logo due to changes in the station's directions.
